The GAPS formula completely transformed my diet and allowed me to rediscover the best version of myself in the spring of 2025. I had been suffering from severe digestive problems for several months before that. My symptoms related to SIBO were far from insignificant: irritation, inflammation, bloating day and night, and this for a long period.
I had tried to resolve the situation by consulting specialists, taking antibiotics, eliminating several foods, and trying an impressive number of expensive supplements. Nothing worked. The digestive discomfort gradually turned into anxiety and insomnia. I had to slow down my pace of life considerably, because my energy level had dropped, as had my weight — I had lost nearly 20 pounds of muscle mass.
It was at that moment that I became interested in the basic principles of the GAPS protocol. I was skeptical at first, but since I was out of solutions, I decided to try it. After two weeks, my digestive troubles began to ease, my energy returned, my anxiety decreased, and my sleep improved. The progress was steady and, after two months, I had regained my normal weight as well as a state of well-being that I thought was lost forever.
Astonishingly, by continuing GAPS for several months, I consider that at 54 years old, I am mentally and physically more capable than I have been over the past ten years. I can see the positive effects in my family, professional, social, and athletic life.
In short, Carmen's precious support and unique approach truly changed the course of my life. I am infinitely grateful to her, and I can say that the GAPS formula will continue to guide what I put on my plate for as long as I eat and breathe!
